“165 years of Gabrovo city”, is the anniversary of which all the cultural events in the city of visionaries are dedicated, as Gabrovo is known, located in the center of Bulgaria.

12 stories full of inspiration, about the industrialists in Gabrovo – every month at the Interactive Museum of the Industry
In 2025, the Interactive Museum of Industry dedicates every month to one of the most representative industrialists in Gabrovo-the people who dared to change the image of the city, turning it into an industrial center.
The first is Ivan Kolchev Kalpazanov, the founder of the textile industry made in Bulgaria.
In the following months, visitors will find out about the achievements of entrepreneurs such as Pencho Semov-nicknamed “Bulgarian Rockefeller”, Hristo Marokindjiev-one of the founders of the leather industry, and other important personalities who have left a sustainable fingerprint on the economic development of the region.
Each episode will reveal the innovative spirit, the entrepreneurial qualities and the social commitment of the industrialists in Gabrovo. It is a story about work and effort, ingenuity and desire for development, which will be said during a whole year.

For the first time in Gabrovo there will be a parade of music performed by an orchestra of blowers, who will bring together musicians from the country and abroad, in a two-day musical event in the city center.
Ancient minifestival in gradishte
On July 5, the Regional History Museum in Gabrovo will offer to the inhabitants of the city and its guests a completely new cultural event, which will certainly attract the attention of children and adults – an ancient minifestival on the forest in Gradiște. For the first time in the Gabrovo region there will be an event to reconstruct the ancient past, in order to promote the archaeological site of the fortress in the early Byzantine period, located in the immediate vicinity.
The festival will give visitors the opportunity to immerse itself for a day in a different era, to familiarize them with the crafts and traditions specific to that period, it will cause the bravest to participate in different activities and competitions, it will focus on tastes and flavors, and of course, it will delight the senses with beautiful music.
The favorite place of tourists from Gabrovo, the town of Gradiște will reveal even more of its potential, promising to delight every visitor with its amazing beauty and views.
Gabrovo will be Bulgaria’s sugar capital again
The first edition of the Cake Art event took place in 2021, and in 2025, on July 5, Gabrovo will host the fourth edition of the “Cake Art Bulgaria 2025” festival, which will include a competition on 8 categories of sweets. In addition to a lavish ceremony, the event will also include an official exhibition with award -winning creations, open for visitors. Everything is coordinated by the decorator chef Maria Ozturk, and the municipality of Gabrovo is an exclusive partner.
Maria Ozturk has lived in Istanbul for 20 years, but honors Bulgaria throughout the world. He is a licensed judge of the World Association of Chefs. He has won numerous prizes. He is a lecturer and shared his experience with hundreds of students from over ten countries.
Uzana Polyana Fest 2025, the festival that combines nature, art and innovation in one place
Whether you are lovers of mountain adventures, art or simply looking in nature, Uzana Polyana Fest 2025 is the event you should not miss. Between 18 and 20 July, three days full of various activities await you, which will emphasize the importance of culture in promoting ecological consciousness and sustainable practices.
