At 120 meters deep, in the impressive Salina Turda, the Landwehr Orchestra in Friburg held on Friday, September 5, a memorable concert, organized as the preamble to the National Day of Switzerland.

The event was held in the presence of the Ambassador of Switzerland in Romania, His Excellence Massimo Baggi, and brought together hundreds of spectators, officials and representatives of the diplomatic and business environment.
With about 90 musicians and under the baton of Master Benedikt Hayoz, the ensemble turned the underground space into an international scene. The Concern opened the series of events dedicated to the National Day of Switzerland, celebrated on Saturday, September 6, in Cluj-Napoca. The saline concert hall was full, and the public rewarded the orchestra with long applause. Among the participants were representatives of the Government of Romania, of the local and county authorities, together with members of the diplomatic corps and businessmen.
“It is an important premiere for Cluj County to mark the National Day of Switzerland through cultural events. It connects us common values - excellence, tradition, dialogue and friendship,” said Pascal Praz, president of the Nendaz -Gherla friendship association.
The architect Daniela Maier, an urban scene coordinator, added: “The presence of the Landwehr Orchestra in Friborg, a symbol of the Swiss culture, in our communities shows that art can build bridges between people. It is an honor to contribute to the consolidation of Romanian-Elvetian bonds.
“Prior to the concert, the guests were received at Issa Resort, a five -star complex located near Salina Turda. Resort has elegant rooms and apartments, fine dining restaurants, terraces, indoor and outdoor pools, a state -of -the -art spa, but also one of the largest event rooms in Romania – Charm Grand Ballroom – with 800 people. ultramodern equestrian, which hosts international performances and competitions.
The event in Turda was not only a musical show, but also a celebration of the Romanian-Elvetian friendship. In the heart of Transylvania, the music of the Landwehr orchestra brought together communities and cultures, confirming that the National Day of Switzerland can be honored through art, tradition and dialogue.
