Betty Salam relinquishes custody of her son: “I made the best decision for him”

Almost a year after the divorce, Betty Salam and her ex-husband, Cătălin Vişanescu, finalized the last aspect that remained unresolved after the separation, the one regarding the custody of their son, Matthias. The two recently signed, in front of the notary, the agreement whereby the child will live, for the time being, with the father, according to Cancan.ro.

A year and a half ago, Betty Salam and Cătălin Vișanescu announced a break in their marriage, but shortly after they decided to give their relationship another chance.

The daughter of the manelist Florin Salam even released a song inspired by the difficult period they were going through. However, the attempt to rebuild the marriage did not have the desired result, and the two eventually ended up in divorce.

Meanwhile, both have rebuilt their lives: Betty has a relationship with Roberto, a member of her father’s band, and Cătălin lives a love story with another woman, Roxana.

Matthias’ custody officially established

According to the information obtained by Cancanm, the two ex-husbands agreed that Matthias, aged 6, should remain in the father’s care. Betty visits him on weekends, and on March 8, the little boy gave his mother a bouquet of flowers, a sign that their relationship remains close.

The artist confirmed the agreement and emphasized that the decision was made exclusively in the interest of the child:

“Matthias is very well. He is healthy, goes to school and doesn’t miss anything. I made the best decision for him. I will always be a part of his life and we already have a vacation planned together.” Betty stated.

The situation could get complicated

Although the agreement seems stable, sources close to the family claim that things could become more difficult in the coming period. Cătălin works more and more in Germany, and Matthias currently lives with his paternal grandmother. That’s where Betty takes him when she spends time with him.

Moreover, there is a possibility that the boy’s father will permanently move abroad, considering that the family of his current partner also lives abroad. Such a change could affect the visitation schedule and relationship dynamics between Betty and her son.

For now, everyone involved says the priority remains the child’s well-being.
