The meeting of the committees assembled for the budget was marked, on Tuesday, in Parliament, by a harsh exchange of words between Diana Buzoianu, the Minister of the Environment, and PACE Senator Paul Gheorghe. The parliamentarian opened fire on the critics by saying that he was waiting for her “for a long time” to say she is incompetent.
“Do you know how long I’ve been waiting to be next to you to explain with reason how incompetent you are?”Paul Gheorghe sent to Diana Buzoianu, according to Digi24.
The minister’s reply came immediately:
“Arrogance and barking do not take the place of arguments (….) And know that shouting louder into the microphone does not increase your manhood.”
USR senator Elena Dobra intervened in Diana Buzoianu’s defense, telling her colleague from the Opposition not to follow “the model of Mr. Câciu“, alluding to the nervous outburst of the PSD deputy, who, also on Tuesday, raised his voice and hit the table, while asking for explanations from the president of the meeting, the PNL deputy Gabriela Horga.
Senator PACE went on to make allegations about the rationale behind the budget, which he said was “very poorly constructed”.
