The simulation of the national Baccalaureate exam 2026 continues on Wednesday, March 25, with the written test of the choice of profile and specialization, according to the calendar approved by the Ministry of Education and Research.
12th grade students take the exam today in one of the following subjects: Anatomy and human physiology, plant and animal biology, chemistry, economics, physics, geography, computer science, logic, argumentation and communication, psychology, sociology or philosophy.
The tests start at 9:00 a.m., when the subjects are distributed in the exam rooms. Student access is allowed until 8:30 a.m., and working time is three hours from the moment the subject distribution has been completed.
The simulation began on Monday, March 23, with the Romanian Language and Literature test, organized in 1,368 educational units, representing 95.87% of the total, according to the data provided by the Ministry of Education and Research. On Tuesday, students took the mandatory profile test.
On Thursday, March 26, students belonging to national minorities will take the written test in Mother Language and Literature, thus ending the series of simulations.
The simulation is taking place despite protests from Education
The Baccalaureate simulation takes place in the context of the protests launched by the Education unions, dissatisfied with the austerity measures adopted by the Government.
The Federation of Free Trade Unions in Education (FSLI) and the Federation of Trade Unions in Education “Spiru Haret” asked teachers not to organize the simulations.
