Friday, April 3, began with concerns about the health of Mircea Lucescu, 80 years old.
While hospitalized at the University Hospital in Bucharest and close to the moment of discharge, the former selector suffered a heart attack, which immediately caused strong emotions among his family and relatives. He underwent surgery and was immediately stabilized by the doctors in the Capital.
After the situation stabilized, the reaction of the former Romanian coach surprised everyone around. Instead of focusing solely on recovery, he made it clear that he wanted to leave the hospital as soon as possible. The former selector of the tricolors wants to fly to Greece.
He wants to be present at the Greek Cup final
According to Fanatik, after he recovered, the first person Mircea Lucescu spoke to was his son, Răzvan. The discussion surprised the coach of PAOK Thessaloniki, especially in the context of the delicate condition in which his father was.
Unexpectedly, the former coach has made it clear he wants to be present at the Greek Cup final at the end of the month, asking Răzvan to secure two tickets for the match. His intention to arrive at the stadium, to be with his son in such an important moment, was a firm one, Răzvan’s reaction being one of surprise in front of this request that came at such a moment.
The final of the Greek Cup, between PAOK and OFI Crete, will take place on April 25, from 20:30.
