NIBIRU: 90 new artists and festivals in biggest announcement yet, revealed in 5-hour live marathon

Ja Rule, The Martinez Brothers, Eve, Clean Bandit and Haddaway among the new headliners announced

On April 16, NIBIRU took entertainment communication to a new area, through a 5-hour live-marathon, made in partnership with eMAG, in which 90 new names from the lineup were announced, along with festivals and concepts that complete the summer 2026 calendar and mark the largest lineup expansion so far.

Moderated by Selly, the initiator of the NIBIRU project and one of the most influential content creators in Romania, the event went beyond the logic of a simple announcement and was built as a show in itself. The audience actively entered the proceedings: they intervened live, guessed the artists, commented, reacted and received awards on the spot, at a pace that turned each reveal into a collective moment.

Interest has extended beyond live, too in parallel with the broadcast, the NIBIRU platform recorded a constant flow of users who followed the updates and checked the lineup in real time, staying connected to the content published during the event.

In total, more than 100,000 prizes were offered, with a cumulative value of more than 600,000 euros, positioning this live among the largest digital activations made in Romania, both by volume and by the level of participation generated.

“We didn’t just want to make an announcement, but a moment to show what NIBIRU really is. What happened on April 16th was not just a live, but the beginning of a phenomenon that starts online, grows through the community and lives all summer long.

NIBIRU is an entertainment destination built for and with people. We are in the middle of the public every day, we look at reactions, listen and constantly adapt everything we do”, said Andrei Șelaru (Selly), founder of NIBIRU.

Top new artists in an ever-expanding lineup

The announcement brought a consistent wave of new artists from different musical areas, more clearly outlining NIBIRU’s direction: a space where styles coexist and complement each other, without rigid boundaries between audiences.

Confirmed international names include Ja Rule, Keri Hilson, Eve, Clean Bandit and Haddaway, artists who define different periods of pop culture and bring together generations with different references.

At the same time, the local scene remains present through artists relevant to the current audience: Irina Rimes, The Motans, Killa Fonic or Subcarpathi, in a combination that maintains the connection with the local market and adds consistency to the lineup.

The electronic and club culture area is represented by artists such as Marco Carola and The Martinez Brothers, completing the international dimension and bringing a specific energy to the great festival scenes in Europe.

New festivals and concepts that extend the NIBIRU summer

In addition to the already announced festivals, the NIBIRU calendar expands with new formats, each built around a distinct experience and a clear type of audience.

RETROGRADE brings the culture of the 2000s to the fore and capitalizes on the nostalgia of a generation that finds its musical references in a current context. HOT BOYZ SUMMER develops the local urban area and directly connects artists relevant to young audiences.

ASTRAL NIGHT
proposes a clubbing experience centered on electronic music, in a format close to the international scene, while ROCK DAYS introduces a different direction, with a festival dedicated to rock and an access built for the general public, with tickets from 49 lei per day.

STARDUST
brings back the disco energy and vibe of the 90s–2000s, in a format geared towards entertainment and immediate recognition, and GREEK SPIRIT & BALKAN FIRE, alongside BEACH, PLEASE! PARTYcompletes the area of themed events with strong identity.

In parallel, the recurring stages – NEBULA X, NIBIRU CENTER STAGE and NIBIRU BEER GARDEN – ensure the continuity of the experience, with artists and live shows daily, building a constant rhythm throughout the season. Along with these announcements, ticket sales were also opened for all events in the NIBIRU 2026 calendar, available on the official platform, www.nibiru.net., with prices starting from 49 lei.

A new business model in entertainment: 2 million tourists expected

The 2026 season includes 46 days of events and over 200 artists, in a format that functions as an active ecosystem throughout the summer. The distribution of experiences over time enables returning audiences and extends the length of stay at the seaside, while the diversity of festivals attracts different audience segments.

Estimates indicate a traffic of approximately 2 million people, supported by the scale of the events and the increased interest in this type of experience, which strengthens the positioning of the Costinești – Tuzla area in the European entertainment circuit.

Accessibility: experiences for the general public, from 49 lei

The NIBIRU model is based on accessibility and diversity. An important part of the experience will be lived for free in the promenade area, where the public will have access to concerts and activations, including the main stage.

For ticketed events, prices start from 49 lei, and formats are designed to cover a wide range of preferences and budgets.

This combination supports the presence of a varied audience and creates a balance between accessibility and the complexity of the experience offered.

A live that has become an experience and a new phenomenon of digital engagement

The April 16th Live was built as a participatory format where the audience didn’t just watch the announcements, they were part of the action. During the 5 hours, users went live, interacted with the hosts, anticipated the artists and were constantly involved in the dynamics of the show, every moment generating reaction and participation in real time.

The result was a format that went beyond the area of communication and functioned as entertainment in itself, built on rhythm, interaction and collective energy, confirming a direction started earlier: the development of a phenomenon that starts online and expands into the real experience.

The strategy is based on interactivity and direct community involvement at every stage. If until recently the public consumed content, today they actively contribute to its development and amplification.

This direction continues the viral initiative associated with “cosmonauts” launched by Selly, which generated large-scale organic distribution and positioned NIBIRU as a recognizable project even before the launch of new festival concepts. By integrating content, community and live experience, NIBIRU outlines a model where visibility is built together with the audience, and engagement becomes part of the product.

“The energy at the live show showed just that: people connected, engaged, not just watching, but participating. That’s what NIBIRU is all about.

Summer 2026 is a story that builds day by day. Every festival, every night, every experience adds a new chapter. NIBIRU, the Pink Planet, becomes the place where all these things meet and raises the standard for seaside entertainment. This is just the beginning,” added Selly.
