An extremely serious case is being investigated in Vaslui county, where a local man is accused of committing a sexual assault on a woman immobilized in bed, in her own home. The investigation is ongoing at the level of the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Husi Court.
Prosecutors of the Public Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Husi District Court are investigating a case of alleged sexual assault that happened approximately two weeks ago in Bunești-Averești commune, Vaslui county, in which a local man is involved, a member of the Alliance for the Union of Romanians (AUR), who is on a list of candidates for the Local Council.
According to the data from the investigation, the aggression took place approximately two weeks ago, in the village of Roșiori, at a time when the victim was alone in the house, after her caretaker had temporarily left the town. A local man, AUR member and candidate on a list for the local council, was the one who brought food to the victim and later stayed in the home.
At that moment, the woman complained that the situation would have degenerated into an assault, according to Vremeanoua. The woman knew the accused man and would not have initially felt in danger, as he had previously helped her in the household or on medical trips.
The victim’s daughter described in detail, in a statement made public, the moment she presents as the attack on her mother.
“The mother screamed, called for help, she told him to leave her alone, and he, seeing that he didn’t give up, got down and started saying “ho, I’m leaving, ho, crazy!”“, she said.
She claims that her mother is mentally affected by what happened and that she wants the authorities to shed light on this case.
“With great shame, my mother told me everything that happened. Then he climbed on top of her, who is very sick and can’t move, she can’t defend herself, but that’s how the man climbed on top of her and started abusing her. (…) He tore off her diaper and then… he climbed on top of her, even though she is a woman immobilized in bed and cannot defend herself”, the victim’s daughter also stated.
On the other hand, the accused person has not yet offered a point of view.
“He just limited himself to reading the messages and… being silent,” the publication was quoted as saying.
The family says the victim was taken to the medical examiner’s office for investigation. At the same time, the police opened a criminal investigation for crimes of a sexual nature.
