DNA prosecutors conduct searches at Brăila CJ. Home searches are carried out in three locations located within the Brăila municipality.
“Prosecutors from the National Anticorruption Directorate – Galati Territorial Service are conducting investigations in a criminal case concerning suspicions regarding the commission, starting from 2022 and up to now, of some crimes of abuse of office, through which undue benefits were obtained for oneself or for other persons, in connection with the allocation of public funds. During the day of May 20, 2026, based on the authorizations issued by the competent court, house searches are carried out in three locations located within the radius of Brăila municipality”, according to a DNA press release.
According to judicial sources, the searches take place at the Brăila County Council, led by Francisk Iulian Chiriac (PSD), president of the Brăila PSD. but also at the handball club HC Dunărea Brăila, the prosecutors suspecting the commission of several acts of corruption.
The sports club HC Dunărea Brăila is managed by Adrian Manole, the son-in-law of former prime minister Mihai Tudose, Adrian Manole.
