The first vice-president of the PNL, Ciprian Ciucu, declared on Sunday, May 24, that the liberals must renounce PSD-ism, which has contaminated them in recent years, with the will of the PNL.
“I saw that our party is willing to take the right path, which will give us the premises from the opposition, to reform ourselves, to highlight the best leaders, competent, honest, committed among us.
Let’s get rid of PSD-ism, which has contaminated us in recent years, with our will, it’s true, with our will. Nobody forced us. But if we don’t verbalize and if we don’t say these things directly, it means that we don’t recognize them and it means that we will be willing to make the same mistakes”said Sunday, Ciprian Ciucu, at Vila Florica in Argeș, the historic mansion of the Brătianu family.
The mayor of the capital says that people are no longer convinced by propaganda or image, but by concrete results.
“What matters is to have your meetings on time, to deliver your projects on time, to take on the hard projects, which are not always the most popular because they bring discomfort, but to do them, to finish them on time and to improve people’s lives.
This is what I proposed from the position of general mayor. First of all, let’s not be ashamed, but the opposite. Let the people of Bucharest see us as that serious solution that doesn’t talk much, that tells the truth and says what can be done and what can’t be done, but who undertakes to do what is right for the city, even if it is not always popular”Ciprian Ciucu also transmitted.
Ciprian Ciucu says that the current members of the PNL must not assume the merits of the liberal generations of the past, such as those of the Brătiens, but only respect their memory.
“The merits of the liberals before us are not our merits. I mean, let’s not have the arrogance to assume their merits, because they are the merits of that generation. We cannot be proud of the merits of the Bratians or other leading liberals. We must honor their memory and that’s it.” Ciprian Ciucu also stated.
