Asked, during the “Friendly Fire with Moise și Vlad” podcast, if he would agree to be part of a future executive, Dragoș Pîslaru answered

“I am in this government because Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan had the confidence to offer me this opportunity to represent Romania in this position. Obviously, I will have to consult with his lordship and see how things stand. It seems to me a matter of minimum common sense to do this and consult with his lordship“.

Asked in which formula it would not fit, Dragoș Pîslaru stated: “in any formula in which, after the discussion with Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, I would not have an agreement in principle from his lordship to be able to participate”.

“It seems to me a matter of common sense and a minimum of loyalty“, added Pîslaru, quoted by News.ro.

The Acting Minister of Investments emphasized that it is not about a relationship of subordination to Bolojan, but about a matter of integrity and coherence.

“The thing is that it seems to me a natural matter to have this consultation. (…) I would not join a government, for example, in which there would be GOLD”, the official explained.

He would be part of a government led by Alexandru Nazare, “if I also consult with the prime minister”

Regarding a possible technocrat government led by Alexandru Nazare, Pîslaru left the option open:

“It is something that, certainly, if I also consult with the prime minister and there is an agreement in principle from you to ensure that we will continue a good relationship in the future, yes, it is one of the options.”

Dragoș Pîslaru explained that the reason why he would take into account the continuation of the mandate in such an executive is related to the completion of the PNRR.

“The reason why I would consider a continuation, at least, at least for a period of time, is to be able to complete the PNRR. I think it is a matter of responsibility. It seems to me that a change of heart at this moment would also affect the credibility of Romania“, emphasized the interim minister.
