Ilie Bolojan, USA Day message: “Thank you to the American military for their contribution to Romania’s security”

On the Independence Day of the United States, interim Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan highlighted the contribution of the American military and NATO partners to Romania’s security. He thanked the allied forces for their role in strengthening national security.

“Today, on the Independence Day of the United States of America, we celebrate the nation that has significantly influenced the evolution of the modern world. For 250 years, the United States has been a symbol of freedom, democracy and equal opportunity”wrote Ilie Bolojan on Facebook.

In his message, Ilie Bolojan also highlighted the importance of the bilateral relationship between Romania and the United States of America, which he considers essential for Romania’s security and development.

“For Romania, the strategic partnership with the United States contributes directly to the security and development of our country. I thank the American military who, together with those of the NATO countries and the Romanians, contribute to Romania’s security”he also sent, adding thanks to the diplomats involved in strengthening the bilateral relationship.

Bolojan also referred to the role of the economic environment and the diaspora in strengthening the ties between the two states: “I thank the American companies for the investments and jobs created in our country and the Romanian-American communities for the bridges built in these years.”

The prime minister-designate expressed his confidence in the evolution of bilateral relations and sent a congratulatory message: “I have confidence in the future of the relationship between our countries. Happy birthday, United States of America! Happy birthday to Romanian-American friendship!”
