The permanent office of the Chamber of Deputies approved the convening of an extraordinary session on August 11-12, during which deputies will debate four legislative initiatives, including three bills and one legislative proposal.
According to the draft agenda, the first point concerns the draft law on completing Law no. 7/2023 regarding the support of the deinstitutionalization process of adults with disabilities, its acceleration and the prevention of institutionalization, as well as the modification of some normative acts, including Law no. 448/2006 on the protection and promotion of the rights of persons with disabilities.
The project was adopted by the Senate on August 5, it is in emergency procedure, and the Chamber of Deputies is the decision-making body. It will be debated subject to the submission of the Labor Committee report.
The agenda also includes the draft law for the amendment and completion of GEO no. 6/2025 regarding the measures applicable to final customers in the electricity and natural gas market, as well as for the amendment of GEO no. 27/2022 in the field of energy.
The normative act, adopted by the Senate on August 5, is in emergency procedure, and the Chamber of Deputies is the decision-making chamber. The debate will take place subject to the tabling of the joint report of the Committee on Economic Policy and the Committee on Industries.
Deputies will also debate the legislative proposal for the repeal of art. LIX from Law no. 141/2025 regarding some fiscal-budgetary measures and for the amendment of art. 208 of the Pre-University Education Law no. 198/2023.
The initiative is in the emergency procedure, and the Chamber of Deputies is the first Chamber notified. The document shows that the project was sent back to the commission in the July 31 plenary session.
On the agenda is also the draft law for the completion of GEO no. 57/2019 regarding the Administrative Code.
