The opposition competes in criminal complaints against Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu, after Romania won the trial regarding Roșia Montantă, while the Power criticizes the steps taken by those from USR or Dacian Cioloș.

The first to announce that he would notify an institution about the Roșia Montană file was Cătălin Drula, the head of USR. But his face was taken by Dacian Cioloș, former prime minister, who went faster to the General Prosecutor's Office. Cioloș accused that he has been demonized by the “communication machine of the PSD”, for months, because he “had the courage to submit the file for the registration of Roșia Montana in the UNESCO World Heritage Site”.
Subsequently, USR president Cătălin Drula filed, on Monday, a criminal complaint against PSD prime minister Marcel Ciolacu for market manipulation, abuse of office, embezzlement of funds and fraud in the Roşia Montană case. Also on Monday, Drula also sent notices to the Financial Supervisory Authority (ASF) and the National Integrity Agency (ANI), by which he asks the two institutions to verify, according to their attributions, whether Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu violated the laws.
Marcel Ciolacu came up with a reply for the Opposition from the moment Romania won the trial, the direct target being Dacian Cioloș. “Romanians must not suffer because of the decisions of prime ministers who put personal interests above national interests! I didn't accept robbery in the case of anti-Covid vaccines, I didn't do it now either”, Ciolacu sent, a message with a double target, both Cioloș, in whose mandate the Roșia Montană site was registered to UNESCO, but also USR, where some ministers were responsible for vaccine procurement.
The details of the general prosecutor
Asked by reporters if he knows anything about the complaint filed by Dacian Cioloș, the general prosecutor, Alex Florenta, stated that it is registered, but he cannot give details.
“It is registered, it is on the administrative circuit, it will reach according to the functional powers at the level of the criminal investigation section, where it will be distributed to a case prosecutor in order to be instrumented. I could not give you other details at the moment”said Florence, according to Antena 3 CNN.
