Specifically, 62 children, out of the 98 students, obtained gold, silver and bronze medals. Respectively, 14 students obtained the gold medal, 22 silver and 28 bronze.

The National Informatics Olympiad competition is organized by the Ministry of Education in collaboration with the Society for Excellence and Performance in Informatics (SEPI), under the leadership of Professor Dana Lica from IL Caragiale National College in Ploiesti.

Out of a total of 368 medals and 159 prizes, at the level of the capital Bucharest, 2 out of 5 medal students come from the ranks of Nerdvana, and at the national level, 1 out of 5 awarded students is from Nerdvana, thus underlining the institution's significant impact on education in informatics in Romania“, say the representatives of the center.

Also, half of Romania's extended batch for the international Olympiad is made up of secondary school students attending the courses of this educational center: Horia Boeriu, Radu Catană, Traian Danciu, Răzvan Dedu, Rareș Hanganu, Roland Petrean, Luca Mureșan, Vlad Păunescu, Radu Vasile and Stefan Vîlcescu.

And in the case of the high school level team, 5 students qualified, out of a total of 30: Ardelean Alexandru, Arseniu Victor, Mihai Mocanu, Rareș Neculau and Ștefan Nuță.

“The children's successes are proof of hard work and the long hours spent together in front of the screens, solving problems and developing innovative solutions. Such achievements would not have been possible without the constant support and guidance of a team of dedicated teachers. (…) With each line of code written and each algorithm developed, Nerdvana students not only display their talent, but also place Romania on the world map of programming excellence“, say the representatives of the educational center.

It is not the first time that the students of the Nerdvana educational center put Romania on the map. They won a Gold and a Silver medal at the World Robot Olympiad Finals in Panama last year. The international competition was held under the theme “Connecting the world” and gathered 451 teams from 80 countries. Team Nerdvana Mensa won the Gold Medal in the RoboMission Senior category, and Team Nerdvana Taurus won the Silver Medal in the RoboMission Junior category. In September 2023, the students won the silver medal at the WRO Friendship Invitation Tournament.
