“The Resurrection of the Crucified Lord Jesus Christ is the central truth of the Holy Gospel and of the Orthodox Christian faith. Therefore, on the outer covers of the Holy Gospel, the icon of the Crucifixion and the icon of the Resurrection of Christ are printed. For 40 days, from Easter until the Ascension of the Lord, the Troparion of the Holy Easter is sung in the church and the paschal greeting 'Christ is Risen!' “He is truly risen!”.
