Andreea Esca testified that as a child she spent more time with her mother, her father being at home only one day a week, he working in Cernavodă, where he commuted. He made these memories public after learning of the law by which parents from single-parent families can no longer be forced to work at night.

“Let me tell you how it was for me. Father was in Bucharest, so at home, only one day a week (as Saturday was not free) because he was working in Cernavoda. So, my mother was alone with me, almost all the time. And when she was “on call”, as an operating room nurse, at the Fundeni Oncological Institute, because I was close to the hospital, she was allowed to sleep at home, and if there was an emergency, they would call her (on landline). This is what I remembered of my mother, who would come and wake me up, suddenly, at any time of the night: “Andreea, it's an emergency!” That he just couldn't leave me alone in the apartment, at night, at that age. In two steps and three movements I was dressed and in the car. Sometimes we also took the dog, so that he wouldn't be left alone, bark, and disturb the neighbors:) The mother was driving a fire-red Dacia, her name was Muțica…and she would also turn on the battery-operated tape recorder, located on the front seat, from where she would wake us up tape with Abba or Iglesias, and once I was in the operating room”says the star.

She never minded waking up in the middle of the night. “I don't remember being bothered by this adventure, on the contrary, I was like in an action movie. And I thought it was extremely interesting to see operations live… not on TV. Then we didn't realize that maybe it was strange how we lived, that's how we were… But now, I understand why I liked adrenaline all my life. Why I get dressed in 5 minutes, and why I would leave anytime, anywhere, with enthusiasm, without blinking. But why do I get bored with “too normal” things… Before entering the diary, every evening, I adore myself, which might sound like a threat to many! The stage director, who enters the make-up booth, a little agitated, and says: “Andreea, 5 minutes!” or “Andreea, 3!” How well Anita, the editor of the journal, said today: “You were young, ready for broadcast! “. Thank you mom!”, Andreea Esca concludes the message.
