Because joy Holy Easter Holidays not to be overshadowed by unexpected incidents, we remind citizens of the need to observe simple measures both during religious services and at home”it is stated in a press release of ISU Cluj.

The measures are listed below:

• Believers must exercise caution when using lighted candles, which must be kept away from clothes and hair, avoiding their proximity to icons or objects that could catch fire.

• When returning home, it is important that lit candles or candles are placed in a non-combustible support (example: in a plate with a little water) and not placed near clothes or other textiles.

• Lit candles or candles will not be left unattended and it will be avoided to travel with them in vehicles. Also, candles or other sources of fire will not be left within the reach of children, who must be supervised at all times.

• Greater attention will also be given to the elderly or other vulnerable categories on how to use lit candles, to prevent situations where life or property may be endangered.

• Parking of vehicles near churches will be done in such a way that they do not block the access ways and access to hydrants is not prevented.

160 firefighters on duty

ISU Cluj also specifies that it will constantly monitor, on the occasion of the Easter holidays, the evolution of the dynamics in the field.

As a result, more than 160 firefighters, respectively 150 means and special vehicles for intervention are permanently available in case of need for firefighting, SMURD assistance or evacuation in emergency situations.

“The Prevention Inspection carried out thematic controls and information actions at the religious sites in Cluj county. At the same time, ISU Cluj inspectors will be on the field and during work hours“, claim the ISU representatives.
