CSM Bucharest missed qualification for the Final Four tournament of the Champions League

CSM Bucharest missed the qualification for the Final Four tournament of the Champions League in women's handball, after being defeated by the French team Metz Handball, with the score of 29-23 (15-14), on Saturday, in the Hexagon, in the second leg of the quarterfinals the final.

Metz also prevailed in Bucharest, with a score of 27-24.

Metz dominated the game from one end to the other, in the first half having a maximum advantage of three goals (8-5), while at halftime the difference was minimal, 15-14. CSMB managed to be equal twice, 11-11 and 12-12. The Tigresses tied at the beginning of the second half, 15-15, after which Metz remained in control of the game, and in the end increased its advantage, winning by six goals, 29-23.

CSM Bucharest has not qualified for the Final Four of the competition since 2018, notes Agerpres.

For the team coached by Adrian Vasile, Cristina Neagu scored 6 goals, Emilie Hegh Arntzen, Grace Zaadi Deuna, Elizabeth Omoregie, Vilde Mortensen Ingstad and Trine Jensen Oe˜stergaard, 3 goals each, Jennifer Maria Gutierrez Bermejo 2.

Laura Glauser defended 9 shots (24.32%).
