The President of Romania, Klaus Iohannis, sent a message on the occasion of the Easter Holidays celebrated by the Orthodox, Greek Catholic, Armenian and Neo-Protestant cults.
“The celebration of Holy Easter brings us closer, to live together the Resurrection of the Lord. Wherever we are, we celebrate in communion the victory of life over death and light over darkness, recharging ourselves with hope in the healing power of faith and prayer”the President of Romania sent.
At the same time, the head of state emphasized that “on these special days, our thoughts also go to our fellow sufferers who are going through the terrible trials of a merciless war”, thus recalling the border war, waged by Russia on the territory of Ukraine.
“The Resurrection of the Lord reminds everyone of the Christian call to love one's neighbor and the exhortation to live together in peace and understanding. These are our cardinal values, established for generations on a foundation of solidarity and Christian spirituality. I wish you all, dear Orthodox believers, Greek-Catholics, Armenians and Neo-Protestants, to receive in your soul the Light of the Resurrection and the full joy occasioned by the Easter Feast”the president also sent.
