Ema Prisca, known in the field of domestic communication and advertising and not only, the one who also helped Nicușor Dan win his first mandate in 2020, was surprised by the MediaFLUX paparazzi at a meeting with businessman Matei Păun, his former campaign chief when he ran for the first time, in 2016, from USB.
The discussions between the two allegedly took place on a terrace near the ANAF Sector 2 headquarters, then continued on the sidewalk until, at a certain point, they broke up. According to the cited publication, which also published some images, their expressions indicate that things were as serious as possible.
In fact, according to the quoted source, Prisca continues the work started four years ago alongside Nicușor Dan, recently posting a message in which she explained in detail how she sees the strategy and how the mayor of the Capital could win a new mandate.
“The battle for Bucharest is actually between two archetypes: a Nicușor with the law and things done like in Europe and a Piedone on the mafia model, clans, thugs, swords, Motorola station. He will defeat the best represented among the people of Bucharest. (Unfortunately, as a city, we have not reached the level where we can choose between projects, solutions)“, wrote Ema Prisca on Linkedin, also sharing a video of Nicușor Dan walking around Bucharest, accompanied by a student at the Faculty of Urbanism, whom she said is one of the young people who have no plans to leave Romania.
As Adevărul reported on Wednesday, according to a Newsweek investigation, the capital's mayor, Nicușor Dan, supported by Alianța Dreapta Unită (USR, PMP, Forța Dreptei), advertises his election in Bucharest on Getica OOH SRL billboards, controlled by businessman Matei Paun, cataloged by the mentioned publication as having pro-Russian orientations.
Diana Stoica, head of the electoral campaign of USR in Bucharest, denied the existence of such a relationship between the businessman and the mayor of the capital.
“I have not seen any evidence regarding the claim that Matei Păun would be one of the sponsors of Nicușor Dan's candidacy for a new mandate at the Bucharest City Hall, let alone that he would be its main sponsor. Moreover, Nicușor Dan publicly denied this assumption (..) ADU's support for Nicușor Dan's candidacy has a financial component as well as other components such as collecting signatures or organizing events. Regarding street advertising, according to the contract, payment is made at the end of the contract period“, is the answer given by the head of the electoral campaign of USR in Bucharest.
At the same time, the mayor of the capital said in the television shows that he has a friendly relationship with the businessman. “He gives some advice, we talk on the phone. (…) We are in the same circle of friends and between campaigns I don't know if we see each other three times in four years. We'll meet again in Balcic, in Krapeţ rather”the mayor Nicușor Dan also stated about the relationship with Matei Păun, according to the quoted source.
