Following these underperformances and following a meeting within the club, Fatih Terim was sacked after only six months on the Panathinaikos bench.

Răzvan Lucescu is one step away from an exceptional performance, needing a win on Sunday at rivals Aris Thessaloniki to make PAOK Thessaloniki champions of Greece.
