FC Botoşani achieved an impressive victory, 1-0 (0-0) against CS Mioveni, on Friday, at home, in the first leg of the bracket for maintenance/promotion in the Super League, writes AGERPRES.

The goal of the game was scored by the Angolan midfielder Aldair Caputa Ferreira (90+3), with a shot from about 25 meters. CS Mioveni started the game better and had two notable situations through Alexandru Stan (6, 8).
The first important opportunity of the hosts came only in the min. 45, when Andrei Miron restarted with his head over the goal. CS Mioveni launched the ball into the crossbar (45+3), through Stan, after a free kick, then managed to score, through Ştefan Blănaru, but the goal was annulled by VAR for offside.
FC Botoşani led the second half, but the opportunities created were few, the biggest by Enzo Lopez (54). Argesen were close to opening the score on the counterattack, through Alin Şerban (81) and Ştefan Blănaru (82).
FC Botoşani had an opportunity in the end through Alexandru Ţigănaşu (88), but his shot narrowly missed the goal.
FC Botoşani ranks 8th in the Super League play-out, while CS Mioveni finished 5th in the 2nd League play-off.
The second leg will be played on May 24, in Mioveni.
