The clinical neurology section has modern salons, with own bathrooms, TVs, refrigerators and alarm buttons, but also dedicated rooms for the treatment of multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease and post-AVC neurological recovery.

The Clinical Section of Neurology Galati within the County Hospital “Sf. Apostol Andrei ”received two Gold Award prizes from the European stroke, for the performances in the treatment of stroke.

“In the treatment of stroke, every second matters. With this modernized unit, patients will benefit from rapid and specialized care, directly in the dedicated section, without crowding the intensive therapy. We save lives, improve patient recovery and offer modern conditions for treatment. This is still an important step in our strategy to transform the Galati Emergency Hospital into a national reference unit ”, said Costel Fotea, president of the Galați County Council.

So far, 460 thrombolites have been performed in Galați, and in many cases, patients have completely regained their neurological functions.
