CFR Cluj defeated FC U Craiova with a score of 3-1 (2-1), on Saturday evening, away, in a match from the 26th stage of the Superliga football.
The guests opened the scoring through the Moroccan Omar El Kaddouri (13), in his first success in the Super League, after a wrong exit by the goalkeeper Ionuţ Gurău.
The Craiova players equalized through the Belgian William Baeten (40), with a volley shot from around 18 meters, but CFR took the lead at the break, thanks to the goal scored by Daniel Bîrligea (45+3), from Philipp Otele's cross, which made a nice run on the left side.
Croatian midfielder Karlo Muhar (90+1) closed the scoring with a shot from 16 meters. The people of Cluj had a great opportunity in the 5th minute, through Bîrligea, but Radu Negru rejected from in front of the goal.
Adrian Mutu has three victories in four stages as a coach of the Cluj team, two against teams he trained, FC Voluntari and FC U Craiova, and one against a team he played for (Petrolul Ploieşti). The only failure happened against another team he coached, Rapid.
FC U Craiova has one win and four defeats in the last five stages. In the round, CFR won 2-0.
