The concert in Bucharest, on June 3, promises to be more than an exceptional musical event. During the show, part of the “Legends in Concert” project, the artist promises to pay tribute to Romanian doctors, said Dan Negru, the host of the evening.

Al Di Meola had to interrupt a concert at the Roman Arenas after suffering a heart attack, being rushed to the Bagdasar Arseni hospital.
The artist underwent a complicated surgical intervention, which involved mounting four stents to the heart. Currently, Al Di Meola has fully recovered and is ready to return to the stage and delight the audience with his unique talent.
Dan Negru recalled the discussions he had with the artist, he confessing that the Romanian doctors brought him back to life and gave him a new chance to enjoy music and share his passion with the public around the world.

Al Laurence Di Meola, born July 22, 1954 in Jersey City, is recognized as one of the greatest jazz and jazz-fusion guitarists of our time.
He debuted at Berklee College of Music in Boston and joined Chick Corea's band Return to Forever before embarking on a successful solo career. His international collaborations have brought together heavy names of the music industry, such as Luciano Pavarotti, Paco de Lucia, Santana or John McLaughlin.
