Arnold Garita is expected in Bucharest to sign with FCSB after Gigi Becali announced that he has reached an agreement for the forward’s loan until the end of the year.
Aged 31, Garita thus returns to Romanian football, after his experience at FC Argeș in the 2022-2023 season, and would be brought from Shenzhen Juniors, a team from the second league of China.
It is expected at FCSB: “It will come!”
The striker had been excluded from the Asian club’s first-team squad, and Gigi Becali stated that all the details of the move had been worked out with both the Chinese team and the player. However, the transfer created some confusion among FCSB supporters after, on the very day of Becali’s announcement, Garita published images from Shenzhen Juniors’ training. The boss of the Romanian champion wanted to quickly clarify the situation and said that the striker is expected in the capital.
“I solved it with Garita, yes. He will come. I also spoke with the player, but also with the club. He will sign until the end of the year, then we’ll see!”said Gigi Becali, for digisport.ro.
Arnold Garita will join FCSB on loan until the end of 2026, with the deal set to run until December 31. The striker’s contract with Shenzhen Juniors also expires on the same day, so the move can become even more advantageous for the Romanian champion: if Garita confirms and convinces the FCSB officials, the club can keep him permanently without paying a transfer fee.
What is the situation in China
Arnold Garita is still tied to Shenzhen Juniors until the end of this year and FCSB will have him on loan for the next four months. After the expiration of the contract with the Chinese formation, the striker will become free of contract, at which time the officials of the champion will decide whether to continue the collaboration with him. Before returning to Romania, however, Garita went through a complicated period in China. He has been out for about a month after receiving a red card on July 17 and being suspended for five matches. Later, Shenzhen Juniors removed him from the list for the championship, and this situation opened the way for the Cameroonian striker to FCSB.
Garita clarified on Instagram that he has recently been training with Shenzhen Juniors’ senior team and not the second team. Before being excluded from the list for the championship, the Cameroonian striker had excellent numbers in China: 12 goals in 14 games.
