Adrian Iftene, university professor at the Faculty of Informatics of the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University in Iași, says that the fears of society related to artificial intelligence are unjustified and that it is actually an extremely useful tool. But it is described as “a rusty horse”.

The wider use of artificial intelligence has sparked wide controversy in society. Part of the population is worried that artificial intelligence will take the place of people, leave them without jobs. Moreover, there are those who believe in Science Fiction scenarios that show that artificial intelligence will come to control our lives and even destroy the human species. Even in the educational field there are concerns about the excessive use of artificial intelligence by students to automatically solve their homework but also to help tests.
Artificial intelligence specialists say that we should not worry and that all these scenarios are just a fruit of the imagination. Experts specify that, in fact, artificial intelligence is a tool in our hands and we decide whether we use it in our interest or not.
“Artificial intelligence must be seen as a friend”
The university professor Adrian Iftene from the Faculty of Informatics of the University of Alexandru Ioan Cuza works in the area of artificial intelligence. He says that the fears of AI are unjustified and that he is actually a man of man. Especially because we meet her, sometimes without realizing it, everywhere around us. For example, the GPS system of the car, the robots that clean us through the house, the intelligent kitchen robots, including the automatic text or computer.
“Artificial intelligence must be seen as a friend, it can help us a lot to eliminate repetitive tasks. Think of robots that help us clean the house, the robots that help us make bread, we do not start to knead. And I suggest that it be used with as much confidence in the coming years ””says Professor Adrian Iftene for “Adevărul”. Artificial intelligence is very useful including students and students.
“When a student, a student understands artificial intelligence and especially what he can do with artificial intelligence, it is natural to be interested in building solutions that have artificial intelligence behind. It is a lot of mathematics is the area of text, image, video, robotic area, very interesting and children. Discuss, to interact, through voice, through the text, there are countless artificial intelligence tools that they can control and build as they want.adds Adrian Iftene.
“Artificial intelligence is a help for those who have a certain level of training”
In the life of school or student, artificial intelligence should be carefully treated. That is, you do not have to do the homework or reason instead of the student or student, but to be used to eliminate certain unnecessary, repetitive activities. To become a support, not an artificial body that thinks instead of the schoolchildren.
“Artificial intelligence is a help for those who have a certain level of preparation. If you do not have that level of training, the artificial intelligence may confuse you because you do not understand the quality of the answers you receive. You do not realize that an answer is wrong or that it is not appropriate to the question that you have to use, that solve.states IFTEEN, this time on Radio Romania Iași, in an interview for “Education state”.
The university professor says he does not recommend the use of artificial intelligence in solving themes. Precisely for students to learn to solve the topics alone, using artificial intelligence just to receive suggestions.
“At mathematics themes I would not recommend. At the topics of the Romanian language, where they have something to compose, I would not recommend them. I would recommend them to use it on the themes or projects where you need inventiveness (…) In such situations I recommend to students to use it, to receive ideas, but not to solve the respective topic or the respective project.”adds professor Adrian Iftene for Radio Romania Iași.
“Artificial intelligence can be thought of as a horse”
Adrian Iftene says that it depends on us how we use artificial intelligence, to work in our favor. First of all, we must learn to use it and lead it according to our interests.
“” Artificial intelligence can be thought of as a nanny horse. When you have a nap and you do not know how to lead it, he will throw you down. So artificial intelligence. If you do not know how to use it, to exploit it, it will start to hallucinate and give you incorrect answers. Many of your daily activities you do not like to do.“Says the university professor for” Adevărul “. In addition, he adds that critical thinking should not be left based on artificial intelligence. Because she will atrophy. The same thing happens with certain senses if we exaggerate with the use of virtual intelligence.
