The Ministry of Education published on Tuesday, at 3:00 p.m., the subjects and the official evaluation and grading scales for the mandatory profile test in the autumn session of the Baccalaureate exam 2026. Candidates who took the mathematics or history exams can check their subjects and scoring method below.
The mathematics exam was taken by the graduates of the real profile, of the technological branch and, depending on the specialization, of the vocational education. For candidates from the humanities profile and for those from certain vocational specializations, the mandatory profile test was history.
The written test started at 9:00 a.m. and the candidates had three hours to solve the topics. In mathematics, the papers were drawn up with blue ink or paste, drawing tools being allowed, but calculators were prohibited.
Mathematics subjects were differentiated according to profile and specialization, with variants for mathematics-informatics, natural sciences, pedagogical or technological.

The work was structured in three topics. The first comprised six exercises, and the second and third subjects each included two problems, each divided into three requirements. The requirements covered, depending on the profile, elements of algebra, functions, equations, probabilities, trigonometry, mathematical analysis and geometry.
History subjects
In history, the paper was made up of three subjects, each worth 30 points, to which were added the 10 points awarded ex officio. Candidates had to analyze historical sources, identify causal relationships and formulate arguments, and the last part involved writing an essay of approximately two pages on a topic from the exam syllabus.
More than 33,000 graduates registered for the autumn session of the Baccalaureate, of which more than 22,000 are from the class of 2026 and more than 11,000 are graduates of previous classes.
The series of written tests continues on Wednesday, August 12, with the test of the choice of profile and specialization. On Thursday, August 13, the Mother Language and Literature test is scheduled for candidates who have studied in a language of national minorities.
The first results will be displayed on August 18between 12:00 and 14:00, and on the same day, between 14:00 and 18:00, candidates will be able to file appeals. The final results of the autumn session are scheduled for August 24.
