Călin Georgescu harshly criticized Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, in an interview given to Realitatea Plus, stating that he represents “the definition of anti-Romanianism”.
“The definition of anti-Romanianism is called Ilie Bolojan. I mean, if you can’t find something in the dictionary that means anti-Romanianism, it’s Ilie Bolojan“, declared Georgescu.
He accused him of favoring foreign companies and of starting “the sale of assets owned by the Romanian people”, at the same time claiming that he would “wretch the Romanian economy”.
He also accuses Nicușor Dan
In the same interview, Călin Georgescu also criticized President Nicușor Dan, whom he said was responsible for the current political and economic situation, because he appointed Ilie Bolojan as prime minister.
“Who was appointed? Nicusor Dan. So Nicușor Dan is directly responsible for the disaster that exists today“, said Georgescu.
He also included in his criticisms Eugen Tomac and Adrian Veștea, later appointed for the position of prime minister. About the two he said that they represent “the same Mary with a different hat”.
“Bolojan is just the anti-Romanian pattern. The other two that followed are in the same position“, he declared.
The link between abortions and annulment of elections
During the same show, the former presidential candidate launched a series of controversial theories, claiming that recent political events in Romania are closely related to the historical past.
“To make the situation very clear today, I would like to go back to December 1989, namely the coup d’état. Whoever says it was a revolution either knows nothing or has been bought. It was a precise coup, as a result of which people, especially young people, were killed. We are talking about more than 1,100 young people and children. Some say 1,166. I don’t care about the exact number. The fact is that they played with people’s lives. Those young men, dead, actually killed, so that they could install themselves in power, went to God and said everything. And this can be seen todayi”, declared Călin Georgescu in the show “Behind the scenes of the parallel state”, moderated by Anca Alexandrescu.
The former candidate went further with the speculation and made an unexpected connection between the abortions of the last decades and the current electoral context in the country.
“Then it said “abortion” and political correctness said “termination of pregnancy”. And that turned into a genocide. Until today, Romania has lost over 20 million souls. Those children killed by abortion also went to God and told everything. And this can be seen. And then December 6, 2024, the second coup d’état happened. Because those kids said it all“, continued Călin Georgescu.

Alignment with Moscow’s arguments in the dispute
Călin Georgescu publicly took Moscow’s position in the scandal generated in Cluj-Napoca, where the Russian rhythmic gymnastics team withdrew from the competition after local authorities banned the use of the flag and anthem of the Russian Federation.
“What happened the other day in Cluj is the definition of absolute servitude, raised to the level of politics,” declared Călin Georgescu.
He claimed that a sporting competition that should have remained “elegant, noble, dignified” was deliberately turned into a geopolitical stake by the local administration.

Georgescu argued that the current economic model is “totally wrong” and that the governments proposed in recent weeks continue in the same direction.
“The economic model is totally wrong. And the same model that brought down Romania is still supported“, he stated.
According to Georgescu, this model is based on “exploitation of resources to the bone” and loans.
He also criticized the fact that government programs were built around the PNRR and the European SAFE program.
