David Popovici won, on Sunday evening, June 28, the final of the 200 meters free trial at the Settecolli Trophy, a competition held in Rome.

David Popovici went to the 200 meter freestyle final with the best time of the qualifications and started from lane 4, writes News.ro.
In the final which brought together nine swimmers, David led from the start, turned first in every change and won the event with 1:44.48, a new competition record. Italian Carlos D’Ambrosio took second place, and British Jack McMillan came third.
A day ago, Popovici won gold in the 100 m freestyle.
