As he announced on Saturday evening, Călin Georgescu went to the voting station in Mogoșoaia, at 8:00 in the morning, accompanied by supporters.

In front of the ward he gave statements to the press and made serious accusations.

Am said i am here in a peaceful way, i call everyone to this peaceful way only. I’m here in the name of democracy, I don’t believe anyone can do anything. The whole world is roaring at this situation. They had information that I have more than 80% in the diaspora. That’s why they stopped the 2nd round of voting. Who brought the people to the streets. I always urged the Romanian people to peace. There is no entity behind me. If the SRI and other services wanted the good of the Romanian people, we would not have ended up in this situation”. said Calin Georgescu.

He also stated:

“NATO is a defensive organization, that’s why I said very clearly, it’s good that we are in the EU, in NATO, as long as NATO remains a defensive organization.”

“Panic is spread by those who now hold the power and those who destroy the peace of the Romanian people. Without peace, one cannot talk about the prosperity of a people”.

“Last night we were without electricity, without heat. The current was oscillating, sure, we understand how the government works.”

“I hope we don’t arrive in the spring, I hope this round 2 will be organized as soon as possible”.

“I tell everyone to stay calm, to stay indoors, to be calm, not to incite violence and hatred.”

“You cannot stop the voice of the Romanian people, no one can”.

“I am not interested in the interest of foreign companies, I am interested in the prosperity of the Romanian people”.

“I urge everyone to do exactly what I did: to go with the same symbol of democracy in front of the polling stations. I came with flowers and prayers”.

Those who accompanied Georgescu shouted for the polling station to be opened and accused the journalists of telling lies.
