Doctor Florin Roşu, the manager of the Hospital for Infectious Diseases in Iasi, claims that “there is a worrying increase” in the number of cases of respiratory viruses.

Flu cases are on the rise. “We observe a worrying increase in the number of respiratory viruses. Influenza is the most severe form of respiratory virus. Flu cases are starting to rise. We currently have four patients requiring intensive care after being diagnosed with influenza A“, said the doctor Florin Roşu, according to News.ro.

The doctor draws attention to the fact that people belonging to the risk categories, i.e. those under five and people over 65, require mandatory vaccination.

“Children do not have a developed immune system, and neither do people over 65. Also, those with comorbidities should be vaccinated against grail. The only way to prevent it is the flu vaccination“, added the doctor Florin Rosu.
