Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu said on Saturday that he is undecided about entering the presidential race, the decision to be made after discussions with his party colleagues, but also after his own evaluation.

“I don't know if I will run for president. I have not decided this. I think that, first and foremost, I have to decide it with my colleagues, but also with myself“, said the Prime Minister of Romania, Marcel Ciolacu, at the PSD Iași election conference.

Call for internal peace
The PSD president also tried to stop the internal conflicts in Iași, where there are disputes between several leaders.
“I would like to address the former president Maricel Popa, an exceptional administrator, a man who, out of modesty, did not sufficiently communicate his achievements and projects. He is my colleague, our colleague, the former president whom I respect a lot (…) We cannot make a team in a negative atmosphere. I ask my colleague Vasile (no – Cîtea) to shake his hand and close any discussion from this moment.“, said Ciolacu referring to the conflict between senator Maricel Popa and deputy Vasile Cîtea.
