Former Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu (PSD), current president of the Buzău County Council, commented ironically, on Friday, on the post of Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, in which he announced that public investments made in 2025 were at the highest level since the Revolution.
“Congratulations to the Bolojan Government for the way it built the budget for 2025! The focus on investments paid off (after multiple attempts to stop the started projects), the development programs continued to modernize Romania (good thing the idea of canceling Anghel Saligny was abandoned) the billions from the PNRR infused the economy (minus the 7 billion lost)”wrote Marcel Ciolacu on Facebook.
The President of the CJ Buzău continued: “PS: We no longer count entry into Schengen and the Moldavian Highway. Two other successes of the Bolojan Government”.
At the end of the post, Ciolacu also writes: “PPS: It is January 9 and Romania still does not have a budget formula for 2026″says the former PSD prime minister.
Marcel Ciolacu’s reaction came after Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan announced on Friday that public investments made in 2025 totaled 137.5 billion lei, representing 7.2% of GDP, the highest level not only in the last 5 years, but in Romania’s post-December history.
According to him, of the total public investments last year, 77.4 billion lei, i.e. 56%, represent European funds.
