“Regardless of what will happen, the National Liberal Party will not defect from the government, and if something can be made clear as a result of these attacks, I think it is the following aspect, namely that, if it no longer suits the PNL in government to- and assume manfully, to tell us and we know what we have to do. Otherwise, to keep the line of decency, honesty, everything that means a partner inside the coalition“, declared Nicolae Ciucă, at Antena3.

Likewise, PSD leader Marcel Ciolacu announced that this government will function until the December elections and that he sees no other coalition in the future than with the National Liberal Party.

“This Government will function until the December elections. After December 21, Romania, as is normal, will have a new Government. From my point of view, because it is normal to make a projection, because we also have a budget to approve, and I would still like to approve the budget immediately after the elections. (…) From my point of view, the new Government will be inaugurated on December 23. (…)As things turned out, and making a comparison between an exclusively right-wing government, from my point of view, in the future I don’t see any other governing coalition than with the PNL”, said Marcel Ciolacu, at PSD headquarters.
