The National Health Insurance House (CNAS) created technical working groups with representatives of professional organizations in order to optimize the provisions of the normative acts in the field of social health insurance.

“CNAS established technical working groups with representatives of the professional organizations provided for by Law no. 95/2006 as negotiators in the process of drawing up the framework contract and the methodological rules for its application, respectively the Romanian College of Doctors, the Romanian College of Dental Doctors, the Romanian College of Pharmacists, the Romanian Order of General Medical Assistants, Midwives and Medical Assistants , the Order of Biochemists, Biologists and Chemists. The purpose of these groups is the dialogue in order to optimize the provisions of the normative acts in the field of social health insurance, with the final goal of improving the access of the insured to medical services, medicines and medical devices“, states CNAS in a statement, according to Agerpres.
More precisely, from February 15, 2024, meetings were held with the Romanian College of Physicians (for the segments of primary healthcare and specialized ambulatory healthcare), the Romanian College of Dentists and the Romanian College of Pharmacists, and in the immediately following period the meetings will continue with representatives of the Order of General Medical Assistants, Midwives and Medical Assistants from Romania and the Order of Biochemists, Biologists and Chemists, as well as the College of Doctors from Romania (for the hospital healthcare segment).
In the next period, meetings will also take place with representatives of patient associations, the institution announces.
“The management team of CNAS is open to concrete proposals to solve the problems of the social health insurance system, but it is also advisable to evaluate the financial impact of those proposals. The path of dialogue is the only one that can ensure stability and balance in the medical system, and at the center of the dialogue must be the access of Romanian patients to medical care“, said Valeria Herdea, president of CNAS, according to the press release.
Moreover, the CNAS specifies that providers of medical services and medicines in contractual relations with a health insurance company who wish to participate in the mentioned meetings, which will take place monthly, can contact the corresponding professional association for this purpose, respectively CMR, CFR , CMSR.
