Kylian Mbappe, the captain of the French national team, was invited by President Emmanuel Macron to an official dinner organized on Tuesday evening at the Elysee Palace, where the Emir of Qatar will also be present, informs the daily newspaper Le Parisien.

The star striker of the Paris Saint-Germain team will be accompanied by the president of the Parisian club, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, at this event in honor of Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani.
In the context of the conflict between Israel and Hamas, the French president will discuss this week with the Emir of Qatar, an important actor in the negotiations for the ceasefire and the release of three French hostages.
It is not the first time that Mbappe has been welcomed to the Elysee Palace. In February 2018, after the election of former striker George Weah as president of Liberia, the French star had the opportunity to attend an official dinner with the two heads of state.
This time, however, the French media speculated that, during the meeting at the Elysee Palace, they will try to convince Mbappe to extend his contract with PSG. The Spanish press wrote that the 25-year-old footballer has already signed a contract with Real Madrid, to be officially presented at the end of the current season.
