Alexandria, Teleorman, is preparing for an exceptional cultural event! On Monday, February 17, 2025, from 5.30 pm, the Multifunctional Center for Younger will host a unique show, where music and poetry will be harmoniously interwoven, giving the public a memorable artistic experience.

Under the suggestive title “Spring rumor”the recital promises to be a celebration of art and creative spirit. The event is initiated by the famous Teleorman writer Stefan Mitroi, in collaboration with the Writers’ Union of Romania, the Teleorman County Council and the Alexandria City Hall. The project aims to enrich the cultural landscape of the county, offering the public an unforgettable evening.
The spectators will have the opportunity to listen to lyrics recited by invited poets, accompanied by live music, in an intimate and full of emotion. It is an event dedicated to beautiful lovers, a rare opportunity to live the magic of poetry and music in a captivating atmosphere.
“Spring rumor” – magical evening of poetry, music and great names of Romanian literature
On the stage of the event will climb some of the most important names of the Romanian contemporary literature: Varujan Vosganian, Ștefan Mitroi, Gabriel Chifu, Nicolae Prelipceanu, Horia Gârbea, Mihaela Stanciu, Ligia Verkin-Keşisian, Ioana Tătărușanu, Marian Drăghici, Liviu Capșa , Angelo Mitchievici and Vasile Spiridon. Each of these writers will bring in front of the public a distinct vision, a stylistic and themed palette that reflects the complexity of the contemporary world, offering an evening of emotional intensity and deep reflection.
Along with poetry, music will play an essential role on this evening of art. Flutist Ionuț Bogdan Ștefănescu, descendant of the great Teleorman writer Marin Preda, and the beloved folk music performer Maria Gheorghiu will complete the show, creating a harmony between verse and sound, between tradition and artistic sensitivity.
The event will be moderated by Cristian Pătrășconiu, a brand writer and journalist, known for his contribution to promoting contemporary Romanian literature.
