Exceptional performances of Romanian Paralympic athletes supported by Betano

Workshops dedicated to the development of athletes, medals at the Para Climbing World Cup and excellent results at the European Para Table Tennis Championships

Betano, driven by the conviction that “The impossible becomes possible. For real.”, strengthens his support for Romanian Paralympic sport. This autumn, after supporting the National Wheelchair Basketball Championship, Betano continued to support Paralympic athletes both in international competitions and by organizing a series of dedicated workshops, which brought together more than 80 participants, both physically and online.

Workshops “Mind. Body. Balance.” – dedicated to personal development and authentic performance

In November, Betano organized two extensive workshops as part of the “Mind. Body. Balance” program, designed to create a complete experience of self-discovery, learning and reconnection with personal resources. Created for athletes who understand that true performance comes from the balance between mind, body and emotions, the workshops combined nutritional coaching, mental training and practical exercises with a direct impact on managing pressure, energy and decision-making.

During the sessions, participants explored:

● Sports nutrition for everyone, with Raluca Costache

● Activating Inner Strength: The Mental as an Engine of Sports Performance, with Silviu Ioniță

● Practical exercises developed by Ascendis

Both in-person and online participants took part in adapted versions of these experiences. The workshops provided two days of reflection, energy and inspiration, turning theory into practical tools and supporting athletes on a journey of self-discovery and authentic performance.

Notable performances in international competitions

In addition to involvement in athlete development, Betano continued to provide competitive support, financially helping Romanian Paralympic athletes to participate in two international events.

At the Para Climbing World Cup held in Laval, France (October 24-26), the Romanian team achieved exceptional results:

● Cosmin Candoi – Gold (B3)

● Răzvan Nedu – Silver (B2)

● Daniel Andrei – Bronze (B3)

In addition, at the European Para Table Tennis Championships in Helsingborg, Sweden (November 20-25), Romania achieved several European top 5 places in the singles and doubles events, in a competition attended by 300 athletes from 37 countries and which served as a qualification stage for the 2026 ITTF Para World Championships:

● Gabriela Constantin, Dacian Makszin, Ioan Dîrlea and Bobi Simion – 5th place in singles

● Gabriela Constantin & Camelia Ciripan – 5th place in women’s doubles

We are extremely proud to be with the Romanian Paralympic athletes and to contribute to their remarkable journey. Their results are proof that with hard work, determination and the right support, the impossible becomes possible. For good.”, said Dragoș Mîndreci, Country Manager Betano Romania.

For his part, Eduard Novak, President of the National Paralympic Committee, emphasized the impact of this partnership: “The performances of our athletes demonstrate their value and potential, and Betano’s support directly contributes to creating the necessary conditions for them to perform at their highest level. We are grateful for this solid collaboration and investment in the training of athletes.

Betano remains a firm supporter of Romanian Paralympic athletes, actively contributing to their success and the development of this important sector of sport internationally.
