Challenged on social networks, many Romanians proudly told how they bought luxury cars over 35,000 euros. Others have noticed the paradox: many sacrifice their financial safety for such purchases.

A Romanian challenged the owners of luxury cars to relate how they got to drive luxury personal cars, for which they paid at least 35,000 euros. His message received numerous answers, on the Reddit platform.
“I do not ask with wickedness, it is simply a curiosity: what income do you allow yourself 35,000 euros? And I earn decent, but I do not go through 35,000 euros on a car. It is a thought that still grinds me lately.he writes.
Credits, solution for the dream of an expensive car
The answers were not delayed. One of the Romanians explained to him that he does not have to afford a car of 35,000 euros. “You just have to allow you a loan of 35,000 euros”he transmitted.
Another explained that if he has a wife and together they have a combined income of 8,000 lei, then they can afford a loan of 35,000 euros, but few Romanians should think about such a purchase. However, it is the choice of everyone who does with the money.
“For someone who has never had a” good “car, maybe this is his dream: to take a new car, at least once in his life. In one of 10,000 euros, if you have bad luck, you can put 1,000 euros a year in repairs. So some people make an effort, take a new car, keep it 10-15 years old and that’s it. Many have this simple dream: “I want a new car.” And they want to fulfill it. Have only one life. I work for their money, they don’t steal them. Others may want three holidays a year, but they only want one, in the next five years and a new car ”, Write this.
Income from rents and inheritance, source of money for bolids
In the category of those who allow such cars, adds someone else, are some of those who get high revenues from rented spaces
“I know someone who took a bolid for 150,000 euros. What does he do? Simple: he has a company that goes well. But what left me is something else. The man had a space bought for little money, and at one point he was contacted by a company that wanted to rent it for a supermarket. I understand that it does not live from a salary, like us, for example, I earn 5,000-7,000 lei per month, I do not pay rent, and I still manage to maintain an Opel ”, The Romanian tells.
Another Romanian is of the opinion that in the capital, few of the owners of expensive cars have bought them because they have good salaries.
“” Inheritance of real estate or land and people who woke up million overnights are enough. There are many criminals. Recently, a friend died an aunt and chose with a house in the center. I also help with parents money, who took them houses. One has a rate of 1,000 euros to the car. I in a car of at least 50,000 euros, especially since I have one of 30,000 euros.he confesses.
IT-ist: “Many cannot afford the cars they have”
An employee in the IT industry says he has allowed the array of a luxury car, without making great financial efforts.
“I have the apartment paid, without debts, two jobs (full time + part time), and the wife has a salary above average. I have a few friends in the same field, with cars over 35,000 euros. Although the revenues have dropped significantly in the last two years, I will buy another car of at least 35,000 euros, because it has a good value,” he says.
The programmer also made a list of the trades of those who buy luxury cars. Some, he says, are doctors.
“I have a few friends, dentists, over 30 years old, and they all have quite cool cars. At the clinic where they usually go, a Panamera, a Macan, an older S-Class and a 5 G30 series,” add it.
On the list of owners of luxury cars, there are, in his opinion, couples in management positions (managers, directors, etc.), with combined revenues of over 40,000 lei/month, notaries and lawyers, Romanians with inherited properties, which they rent or sold. Even the owners of small businesses, who can easily access lease, allow such cars.
“I see many restaurant patrons with extremely expensive cars and I do not understand what profits they can get, honestly. There are people who simply cannot afford the cars they have. If you look at the tires, you will notice a lot of premium cars with worn tires or with no-name brands.” he says.
Another Romanian completes the IT-ist remark, claiming that for Romanians, cars matter as a picture.
“It is not seen that you eat the cheapest foods, that you have dusty teeth or a modest home, but the world” sees “your car. Many do not want to look poor, simply. In traffic, those with expensive cars are often “forgiven” when they are wrong, at least by other drivers – not by the police. The same pattern also appears in the country: ruined houses, but in the yard an Audi A4 or A6. It is not wrong to have a good car, but it is sad when the child eats the pate so you have BMW ”, He believes.
He also says that he noticed that Westerners do not have such priorities, being less willing to financial risks to buy luxury cars.
“In Switzerland, who has expensive cars, is a millionaire. In Romania, some stay in a communist block, with 2-3 rooms apartment and have cars of 50,000 euros”, add another internet.
Romanians with decent wages say they allow expensive cars
Another Romanian tells that, although he has debts, he allowed his dream car. The example is from his own house.
“We are two adults, passed for 45 years, without children, with debts of about 25,000 lei, house paid and annual incomes that place us lightly under one percent of the employee population. I have a vehicle of over 50,000 euros, offered by the company, without paying anything for him. Cash.he concludes.
“Let’s not forget the disease of the Romanians to show their value,” someone else recalls. “Many are gathering 35,000 euros for years, only to break them on a car, to die the neighbors and relatives,” complete it.
Someone else reported that he had collected money for about 10 years for advance at an apartment, then another four years for early repayments. At over 30 years old, he realized, however, that his whole life was about work, savings, shopping for the strictly necessary and a short vacation a year.
“In the meantime, I saw expensive cars driven by 20-25 years on the street, and I, with a decent salary and money in the bank, was driving a diesel from 2000. Last year I saw a loan of personal needs, with fixed interest 6.25 percent. I changed the plan: with the credit and all the money raised, Petrol for nothing, but I relax.he says.
