On Sunday evening, the National Arena was the scene of quality football offered by FCSB and Rapid (0-0 draw), but also of some skirmishes by the supporters, who fought each other in more and more hateful messages. The rivalry between the two galleries was horrible for neutral spectators or those not involved in the ultras phenomenon, some who came with their children to watch a football show.

“Everyone put their scarves up, let’s see how much is left!”, “Without scarves, don’t enter! Do you accept Botswanan currency?” (no currency dn Botswana a pornographic word in Romanian), “Don’t give money to the choreographers, they are sponsored, kids!”, there were some rapidist banners, while the red-blues responded with several racist or morbid messages: “Vagabonds near the capital”, “We have only one longing / Bocciu at the slaughterhouse” (no. the leader of the Giulești gallery), “Faded cherry T-shirts, fabric pants and hammers”, “And you came like a leaf or a grass with chica in the wind and with saliva in his beard” or “For 3 years you have come to the national team with 3 drums and empty hands.”

The referee of the meeting, Istvan Kovacs, had to interrupt the derby twice, because of the pyrotechnic materials thrown on the lawn. The first time, the protagonists were the supporters of FCSB, and then when the rapidist fans threw firecrackers into the field and even confused an offensive action of their own formation. The central called the delegates of the two teams for discussions, but continued the match each time.
Marius Șumudică, vulgar gestures towards FCSB fans
As the vulgarity was at home on the National Arena, Marius Șumudica, the coach of the guests, also entered the game. The Rapid technician made several obscene gestures to the champion’s gallery after being cursed by its members: he had several ostentatious moments, at the end of which he put his middle finger around his mouth.
40,287 spectators attended the match at the National Arena
On the field, the two teams went about their business and played well. Rapid goalkeeper Siegrist exasperated the Red-Blues with his first-half saves, while FCSB escaped with a clean sheet in the 15th minute when Boupendza failed to score with an empty net. After the break, the two formations reduced the speed, but Rapid was close to striking: Emmers shot from a spot, but Radunovic took it off the goal line, a quarter of an hour before the end of the game.
It ended 0-0 and, following this result, FCSB climbed to the 6th place in the ranking, with 20 points, while the Giulești are on 10, three points less than the opponent of Sunday night.
