Victor Pițurcă, former selector of the Romanian national football team, analyzed the situation of the tricolors and raised an alarm for Gică Hagi, the technician who will take over the national team in place of the late Mircea Lucescu.
Hagi will be officially presented as Romania’s national team next week. The technician will then begin to make the plan for the League of Nations, where the first actions of the tricolors will be two friendlies, with Georgia and Wales.
One of the hardest tasks that Gică Hagi will have at the national team will be managing criticism, if his son, Ianis, will record poor performances under the tricolor. The midfielder, now registered at Alanyaspor, had been named the captain of the national team by Mircea Lucescu, in the absence of Nicolae Stanciu.

Victor Pițurcă is of the opinion that, inevitably, controversies will arise during Gică Hagi’s mandate.
