Daniel Băluţă, the PSD candidate in the Bucharest City Hall elections, “leaves with the first chance” in this race, declared the interim leader of the social democrats, Sorin Grindeanu.

“I see how the campaign started in Bucharest and I even talked to Daniel Băluță, the PSD candidate, and I asked him not to answer, to continue to say what he did for Bucharest, what he wants to do, to have an administrative speech. Because the others, I saw, from the USR side, even tonight, even from the AUR side, they are only doing circus, they only know how to deliver circus”, said Grindeanu on Tuesday evening, on Antena 3.
Referring to Băluță, the PSD leader emphasized that the mayor of Sector 4 has a solid track record in administration: “It is very difficult for me to say percentage, but at the moment I think that Daniel Băluță, and I say this strongly, leaves with the first chance, because he has achievements behind him. He did very good things in Sector 4, he is a man that I say Bucharest needs, because he talks about administration, he does not want to do politics.”
“I saw something else, that some people are concerned about the size these days (…) the size of the PSD logo. You know you have nothing to show, because you have nothing to show, you are concerned about these things. Daniel Băluță has done a lot of things for Sector 4 and at this moment he is extremely ready to do a lot of things for all of Bucharest”. Grindeanu added.
The leader of the social democrats also launched an attack on the USR candidate, Cătălin Drula: “Being a weak candidate, Mr. Drula needs the propte. I also said this matter yesterday. We all knew that he is a weak candidate, who has nothing to show and who is running an election campaign full of circus, scandal. I saw him a few times today.”
Finally, Grindeanu emphasized that PSD will not enter the same style of campaign.
“We are not going to get into this style of campaigning. And we will not enter. And this is my request for Daniel Băluță”, he says.
