Ianis Hagi (25 years old) has a hard life at Glasgow Rangers. If in the country, the midfielder is considered an untouchable footballer, omnipresent in the national team, regardless of his situation at the club, on the other hand, abroad, his surname does not represent an intimidating factor for those around him.

Proof is also the fact that, one after the other, at Fiorentina, Genk, Alaves and now, at Rangers, he was removed from the team, sent to the bench, left in the stands or relegated to the second team, when his sporting performance was not considered good enough.
This weekend, Ianis underwent a “cuttingsalary, of about 300,000 euros per season, after the managers’ attempts to find another team failed, this summer. In order not to stay with the second team of the Scots, however, Hagi jr chose to reduce his seasonal salary to “only“one million euros, according to the latest information, confirmed by several sources.
Unfortunately for Ianis Hagi, not even this financial sacrifice has improved, for now, his status as a marginalized player at Rangers. Because, today, the Romanian was left out of the team for the championship derby, with Celtic, away. The match will start at 14.30, Romanian time.
Surely, this situation will annoy Gheorghe Hagi and make it difficult for Ianis, in the long term. Because, if he will continue to be marginalized at Rangers, it remains to be seen if the selector Mircea Lucescu will summon him again, as he did now for the debut of the tricolors in the new edition of the League of Nations.
