Harvard University offers free online courses. So are other renowned universities

It’s never too late to learn new things or improve your career. And online now gives us the opportunity to study courses made available by Harvard University itself. These are from fields such as Health, Artificial Intelligence, Education, Economics, Humanities, Business. And most importantly, they are free. Only the certificate attesting the graduation costs, but it is cheaper than a cosmetology course done in Romania, for example. The price of a certificate starts from 149 dollars and goes up to 300, depending on the course. And good universities in Europe offer free courses. Below we show you what they are and what you can study.

What can we study for free at Harvard?

Harvard University is offering this year no less than 84 online courses that are completely free to sign up for and attend. There are no entry requirements either, and the time required for each is just a few hours a week. Because these are online courses, learning can be done at your own pace, with all the necessary materials provided by the prestigious university. The instructors are Harvard professors and the courses, lasting between 4 and 16 weeks, are in English.

And the University of York, UK, offers several free online courses with very attractive titles. These include:

Other universities offering free courses

And other universities with a good international reputation also offer free online courses.

  • University of London. “Business, Management and Marketing”, “Information Technology (IT)”, “Humanities” and “Educational Sciences” are the fields in which the university offers free courses. The full list and details can be reviewed here.
  • Paris Lumières University. However, the courses here are not up-to-date in terms of knowledge. They were supported between 2018 and 2020, and some of them remained valid online. It is also important to note that they are mainly in French.
  • The edX platform. Created by prestigious universities Harvard and MIT, the platform offers a lot of free courses from universities all over the world.
