The Ministry of Health will have a budget over a third larger than last year. The money will be found in the investments in the infrastructure already started, but they also go to supplement the budgets of some new and new programs, announces the Secretary of State Alexandru Rogobete.

The official of the Ministry of Health announced on Tuesday, February 4, that the two health committees, from the Chamber of Deputies, respectively Senate, approved the draft budget for the Ministry of Health and CNAS for this year, the budget allocated to this area being, according to the Secretary of State Alexandru Rogobete, a record one.
“The budget of the Ministry of Health in 2025 will be 27.5 billion lei, 33.5% more than 2024. This increase supports all patients and supports the development of medical infrastructure and health services. 5 billion extra lei will be allocated for the continuation of the works on hospitals and the development of specialized outpatients, including the endowment of family medicine offices ”, Rogobete announced, in a Facebook post.
Additional funds of 500 million lei will be allocated to the completion and endowment of the three large centers from Timisoara, Târgu Mureș and Bucharest.
Additional funds, the representative of the Ministry of Health has also revealed, will be allocated to national programs, but also to new ones: the protection of health against communicable diseases; Neonatal screening for phenylcetonuria, hypothyroidism, cystic fibrosis and other conditions; Genetic tests for pregnant women and people at risk; Implementation of the National Cancer Combat Plan.
A budget larger than last year will be for priority actions – ATI, stroke, trauma, etc. – and for great burns, in total for these shares being provided the amount of 700 million lei.
According to the established calendar, on Tuesday, February 4, the budget is debated in the specialized commissions. On Wednesday, February 5, the commissions brought together by the budget analyze the projects of the law of the state budget, respectively the social insurance law, starting at 10.30. At 13.00 the report should be completed and the laws enter the common plenary of Parliament for general debates and annexes. The final vote will be given on Thursday, February 6, in the plenary of Parliament.
