Hermannstadt gave wind to Marius Măldărășanu, the longest-serving coach in the Superliga

The football club AFC Hermannstadt and coach Marius Măldărășanu have reached a mutual agreement regarding the amicable termination of the contract, the Sibiu group announced on its Facebook page on Thursday evening.

Măldărășanu, 50 years old, led the Cibin team in 187 matches, with a record of 77 wins, 56 draws and 54 losses.

The former international achieved promotion with FC Hermannstadt, a ranking in 7th place in the Superliga and played in the final of the Romanian Cup, lost to CFR Cluj.

“Malda” leaves the team in the penultimate place in the Superliga (17th), after 18 stages, with only 12 points.

FC Hermannstadt beat FC Botoșani 3-1, on Wednesday evening, away, in the Romanian Cup, with interim Valentin Negru on the technical bench.

Only five Superliga teams have changed their coaches with whom they started the season, CFR Cluj, Universitatea Cluj, Petrolul, Universitatea Craiova and FC Hermannstadt:
