Alexandra wants to keep alive the memory of her husband, who became a legend of Romanian football after playing a decisive role in winning the European Champions Cup in Seville.
Even though the pain of the loss remains strong, Alexandra tries to stay strong and carry on Helmut’s legacy. In December, it will be one year since the disappearance of the former goalkeeper of FCSB.
“I am as you see me! I feel different from how you see me. It’s been a very hard year, but I’m trying to move forward. I dedicated my time to carrying on Helmut’s memory. Things that keep me busy!“said Alexandra Duckadam, according to cancan.ro.
“It amazes me every day how strong she is!”
In the context of the one-year anniversary of Helmut Duckadam’s death, Alexandra Duckadam also spoke about their daughter, Julianne, highlighting the maturity and courage she showed during this difficult time, despite the fact that the young woman is only 18 years old.
“She is a force. She amazes me every day how strong she is. She looks like her father. She is strong and cerebral, head on her shoulders and succeeding…The pain is hers and only she knows it. She is 17 years old! Her brothers are far from us. One is in the US, the other is in Germany. In December they were here too…Each with their own pain!
I’m sure he would be very proud and I know he wished we could move on without him. That gives me extra motivation to be strong and keep doing what I promised myself!”admitted Alexandra Duckadam.
