The government has approved the tendering of 768 positions necessary for the operation of 34 nurseries built in several counties in the country, through PNRR funds or through the National Program for public or social interest constructions.
Hiring will be able to start after the acceptance of the works and the commissioning of the new units.
On Friday, the executive approved a memorandum that allows the competition for the vacancies necessary for the operationalization of the 34 nurseries.
Of these, 26 crèches were built through PNRR, within the “Saint Ana” Governmental Program for the construction of crèches, and another 8 crèches were built through the National Program for Public or Social Interest Constructions.
The new early education units are to be received in the next period and then handed over to the beneficiaries so that they can become functional.
In which counties are the hires made?
The nurseries for which tenders will be issued are built in Alba, Arad, Bihor, Botoșani, Brașov, Bistrita-Năsăud, Buzău, Caraș-Severin, Constanța, Dâmbovița, Galați, Gorj, Harghita, Hunedoara, Maramureș, Mureș, Prahova, Satu Mare, Suceava, Tulcea, Vaslui and Vrancea, as well as in Bucharest.
The 768 posts are for the staff needed to make the new nurseries operational after the works are completed and accepted.
The positions will not be released simultaneously through a national competition. According to the Government, they will be put out to tender by the main credit officers, after the reception of the works and the commissioning of the nurseries.
A condition established by the memorandum is that the recruitment of personnel is carried out within the limits of personnel expenses approved by the budget, without supplementing the funds intended for salary rights for the personnel employed.
Therefore, the concrete calendar of the competitions will depend on when each nursery is received and can be put into operation.
The nurseries built through PNRR must be operationalized
Some of the new units are part of the “Sfânta Ana” governmental program for the construction of nurseries, financed by the PNRR.
Their operationalization contributes to the fulfillment of milestone 456 and target 457 of the PNRR, according to the Government statement.
By approving the positions, the authorities create the necessary framework for investments in early education infrastructure to be followed by the actual opening of nurseries.
The executive justifies the operationalization of new nurseries by the need to increase children’s participation in preschool education and by expanding access to early education services.
At the same time, the authorities claim that the development of the nursery network can help support young families, by increasing the number of places available for pre-school children.
The 768 positions approved on Friday thus represent the staff needed for 34 investments in nurseries to pass from the stage of construction and reception to that of actual operation.
